Is it wrong to dream? It is one thing to dream, and an another to chase it. Wouldn't it be better to simply sit laidback and let time takes its own course. Why does it so happen that following your dream also comes with the heavy price of pain, hurt, tears and suffering?
As much as I love the concept of "The Alchemist", I seem to have these questions. Answers from my readers are more than welcome.

Go for it dude...i blogged about this same thing...
I feel whether you dream or not ultimately is determined by the structure of neurons in your brain. Which in turn is defined by the collective intelligence of the society and your particular environment. Who defines what is wrong and right ?
Tomorrow if a child were to be born in a society which glorified crime. He would aspire to be a criminal. For man has(or most men have)always seeked out appreciation from his fellow beings.
Most desires are born out of basic instincts which have become more complex over time. Initially food, shelter and clothing were the things required. With competition for these resources, the ways to obtain them have changed. Dreaming high, acheiving those dreams and being famous are more complex ways to satisfy mans basic needs and his need for social behaviour than farming and dancing around camp fires.
Maharaj : Yes, Sir.
